3x3 Stall (9 sqm)
3x3 Exhibition Stall Design: Layouts, Cost & What Fits in 9 sqm
A 3m x 3m stand is the most common first stall in Pakistan. It is small, so every centimetre has to work. This guide shows what fits, what it costs and how to design it well.

What Actually Fits in a 3x3 (9 sqm) Stall
Nine square metres feels generous on paper and tight in practice. Once you add a counter, a display wall and a person standing behind it, there is not much floor left. Plan the stand as one counter, one strong back wall and one clear idea, not as a miniature version of a big stand.
| Element | Realistic size in 3x3 | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Counter | 1.0–1.2 m wide, 50–60 cm deep | Put it to one side, not across the front, so visitors can walk in |
| Back wall display | Full 3 m width | Graphics, shelves or a screen up to about 43 inches |
| Staff | 1–2 people | Two people plus visitors already feels full |
| Storage | Cupboard under the counter | Cartons left on the floor make a small stand look cluttered |
| Seating | One or two stools | A table with chairs usually does not fit; use a 3x6 for meetings |
Layouts
Inline vs Corner: Which 3x3 Layout Should You Ask For?
Inline (one open side)
The most common and most economical layout. You have two side walls and a back wall, so your branding goes on three surfaces and visitors come from one direction.
Corner (two open sides)
Visitors approach from two aisles, which gives better visibility and an extra frontage for graphics. Ask the organiser for a corner position early; it is often limited.
Shell scheme
If the organiser supplies walls, your job is graphics, a counter and lighting. See our shell scheme upgrade guide.
Whichever you get, design for the aisle view first. Most visitors see your stand side-on for a second or two before they decide to stop.
Design
Seven Ways to Make a Small Stand Look Bigger
- Go vertical. A tall header with your logo, lit from behind, is seen across the aisle and adds no floor use.
- Keep the front open. A counter across the full front blocks visitors; a side counter invites them in.
- One bold colour field. A single colour on the back wall reads stronger than many small graphics.
- Use a screen, not posters. One screen playing a short loop replaces several printed panels.
- Light the product. Spot lighting on what you sell does more than decoration.
- Hide the storage. A cupboard under the counter keeps cartons out of sight.
- Leave air. Less on the stand is usually more memorable than a full one.

3x3 Exhibition Stall Cost in Pakistan
A 3m x 3m custom stand typically costs PKR 50,000 to 150,000, which works out to roughly PKR 520–1,550 per sq ft (9 sqm is about 97 sq ft) or PKR 5,500–16,500 per sqm. The spread comes from the choices below.
| Pushes toward PKR 50,000 | Pushes toward PKR 150,000 |
|---|---|
| Printed back wall, simple counter, basic spot lighting | Backlit fascia, screen integration, custom-shaped counter |
| Standard laminate and paint finishes | Veneer, glass or premium panels |
| Standard 2–5 week schedule | Rushed schedule with overtime production |
| Reused or modular elements | Fully bespoke build |
For the full picture of what sits outside the build, read the Pakistan stall cost guide, or the city guides for Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. If a 9 sqm stand is too small for your meetings, the next step is our 3x6 (6x3) island booth from PKR 220,000.
Questions
3x3 Exhibition Stall Design FAQ
Typically PKR 50,000 to 150,000, or roughly PKR 520–1,550 per sq ft, depending on graphics, lighting and the counter. Space rental is paid separately to the organiser.
3m x 3m is 9 square metres, which is about 97 square feet.
Only a very small one. For real buyer meetings a 3m x 6m stand gives you room for a counter, a display area and a small meeting spot.
A corner stand has two open sides and more visibility, but it is limited and the organiser may charge more for the position. An inline stand is the cheaper and more common choice.
A standard single-storey stall needs 2–5 weeks from brief to installation. Printed graphics should be approved early so they arrive in time.
Yes, if it is designed for it. A modular frame with swappable graphics pays off from about the third show; see our modular exhibition booths page.
