What an Exhibition Stall Fabricator Actually Does
"Fabricator" is a narrower, more specific role than "exhibition stall company." A fabricator's job starts once a design is signed off — converting production drawings into a physical structure through carpentry, metalwork, panel assembly and finishing. It doesn't include the concept work a designer does, and it isn't the same as the coordination role a full contractor takes on across the whole project.
Exhibitors search for a fabricator specifically when they already have a design — either from us or from a separate design studio — and need someone in Karachi who can actually build it, fit it to the hall's structural and access rules, and deliver it on schedule. That's the gap this page is built for.
Choosing the right vendor
Fabricator vs Designer vs Stand Builder
These three terms get used interchangeably in Karachi's exhibition industry, but they describe different scopes of work. Knowing which one you actually need saves a round of miscommunication before a quote is even requested.
Designer
Concept, floor plan, 3D visualization and material selection. Produces the drawing a fabricator builds from.
Fabricator
Carpentry, metalwork, panelling and finishing carried out against an approved drawing. This page's focus.
Stand Builder / Contractor
Manages design, fabrication, transport, installation and dismantling as one project under a single point of contact.
We cover all three in-house in Karachi, so you're not locked into one — hire us for fabrication only against your own drawings, or for the complete design-through-installation service from our expo stall fabrication in Karachi. Inside Our Karachi Fabrication Workshop
Once a design is approved, our Karachi office works from production drawings rather than the original 3D concept directly — that conversion step is what actually makes a structure buildable to real-world tolerances. From there, cutting and framing, panel and counter assembly, and surface finishing happen under one roof, with the same team handling graphics integration and lighting before anything goes through quality control.
- Production drawings converted from approved 3D concepts
- In-house cutting, framing, carpentry and metalwork
- Panels, counters and display units assembled to spec
- Graphics production and lighting integration
- Quality control before anything leaves the workshop
Materials & structures
What We Fabricate With
Material choice depends on the structure's load, finish and reuse plans — here's what typically goes into a Karachi build.
Timber & Sheet Framing
MDF, plywood and timber framing for standard panelling, counters and display walls.
Structural Steelwork
Steel elements for two-storey structures and larger island builds needing certified load-bearing framing.
Finishes
Laminate, veneer or painted surfaces matched to your brand's material palette.
Graphics & Lighting
Printed or fabricated graphics with integrated lighting planned in at the drawing stage.
Modular Frames
Reusable aluminium or timber frame systems for exhibitors returning to Karachi venues repeatedly.
Custom Joinery
Reception counters, meeting-room partitions and storage built to a specific brief rather than off a catalogue.
Fabrication-only quotes
What to Send Us for a Build-to-Drawings Quote
A fabrication-only quote is only as accurate as the drawings behind it. Send as much of this as you have and we will price the build, not the design.
- Dimensioned drawings — plans and elevations with sizes, not only a 3D render.
- Material and finish schedule — the laminate, veneer, paint or metal finish for each surface.
- Graphics files — print-ready artwork and panel sizes, if graphics are in scope.
- Lighting and electrical plan — fittings, screens and total load, so power is planned before move-in.
- Hall, booth number and move-in date — so the build is scoped against the real access window.
Standard single-storey builds usually need 2–5 weeks from approved drawings to installed stand; two-storey or heavily structural builds are safer booked 6–8 weeks ahead. Hall rules are in our Expo Centre Karachi exhibitor guide.
Budget ranges by stall size are in our Karachi stall cost guide.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
A designer plans the concept, floor plan and 3D visualization. A fabricator turns an approved design into a physical structure — carpentry, metalwork, panelling and finishing. We do both in-house in Karachi, so you can hire us for fabrication alone against a design you already have, or for the full process.
Yes. If you already have an approved concept, 3D render or production drawing from another designer, our Karachi office and in-house fabrication unit can quote and build directly against it — we don't require the design work to have come from us.
Fabrication for Karachi bookings runs through our Karachi office, with the same crew handling delivery and on-site installation at your venue. This keeps transport time short and avoids handing the build off between separate teams.
Standard single-storey stalls typically need 2–5 weeks from approved drawings to installed stand. Multi-storey or heavily custom structural builds are safer booked 6–8 weeks ahead, given Karachi's tighter hall access windows.
Yes — a modular frame with swappable graphics panels is common for exhibitors returning to the same Karachi venue repeatedly, and it's usually more cost-effective than a full custom rebuild each time.
Yes. If you only need fabrication, we quote against your existing drawings rather than bundling in a design fee. Share your stall size, materials and drawings through our contact page for a fabrication-only quote.
